This is a long shot from Kangjin old-town which includes many Japanese-style buildings, plus houses that date back to the Park Chung Hee era. The style from the "New Village Movement" era is characterized by long alley-ways, flat, spare areas of concrete, tin roofs, instead of rice thatch, and, now, a sense of desolation, missing only the sound of the many feet that used these ways not long ago.
