This is the entrance to a teahouse that once was the home of a renowned Korean painter, Wan Hyang (Kim Young Ryoel) 1930-2005, and studied art in Japan, later becoming a teacher at the local elementary school in Kangjin City. The old name for this place, from when it was a Chosun school is Kum-seo-dang, meaning "like the sound of the Kumungo".
